Submission Deadlines

Abstract-only submissions may be converted to full-papers at any time (even a year after presentation at our Conference)

Topics

Learning Track:
Learning oriented papers that describe new or innovative practices in classroom, laboratory, online, face-to-face, distance learning, or other learning environments in higher education are encouraged. Manuscripts that develop a more theoretical focus on teaching/learning are also desired.

Administration Track:
Administration oriented papers that focus on new or innovative practices in the operation of an academic unit in higher education are wanted. Topics may include: adjunct vs. full-time issues; budget equity with other units; any accreditation issue; finding good faculty; teaching vs. research issues; assessing programs, faculty, students; academic freedom issues; and others. Please do not view this list as exhaustive; papers in all areas of academic administration are sought.

Abstracts and Outlines

While Abstracts are acceptable for presentation at the conference, they cannot be considered for publication in any of the journals.

Review Process

Papers will be blind reviewed and authors will normally be notified of the status of their paper within 2-weeks of submission.

Presentations

Each presentation will be allotted 15 minutes.

Paper Format

The submission must be in MS Word format (.doc or .docx). Please do not use Rich Text Format (.rtf). Once accepted the paper must conform to the following guidelines:
 

Color

Do not rely on color as all papers will be converted to black and white.

Page Size

8.5"x11"

 

Paper Length

The length should be appropriate for a 15-minute presentation. Anything over 20-pages (inclusive of title page, reference list, and appendices) is probably too long.

Margins

1" all margins

First Page

Only Title, Author information, and Abstract should appear on the first page--and should not extend to the second page.
